Girl ScoutsFairytales and Tutus works closely with Girl Scouts to offer events, workshops, and lock-ins! We offer activities that have been scheduled through the Council office, as well as activities scheduled by individual troops. Workshops and ClassesFairytales and Tutus offers exciting and educational workshops. These include our regular Maypole Celebrations and Folk Dance Around the World workshops for Brownies and Juniors, as well as Fairytale Ballet classes for Daisies and first grade Brownies. Our workshops are ideal for Girls Scouts, Home School Groups, and other school groups. However, anyone is welcome to schedule a workshop with us! Maypole Celebrations!

| Folk Dances Around the World! Dance around the world to exciting, authentic ethnic music, visiting countries from all seven continents! While gaining multicultural awareness, children will also learn basic concepts of rhythm, coordination, concentration, sequencing, patterning, and other important skills. February: Come celebrate World Thinking Day! When: Saturday February 20, 2010 - 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Dance Around The World) Description: Come celebrate Thinking Day with folk dances from around the world! Not only will you learn the dances, but you will be able to wear native costumes as well. Girl will find out the history of the dances and why they are significant to the cultures they are associated with. Girls will take part in a creative and unique ballet class using costumes, props, drama and the magic of children's stories. Girls will learn some basic ballet, enjoy a fun princess story and will then get to act out their story with ballet movements!
